Can not hook the TV up to the Wii, it won't come in, I have a new RCA TV . The back of it has a orange color pug in not a yellow and I pug it in and I also don't know what setting to put it on

A newer TV may mean that your wii is not setup to use the proper resolution(HDTV). Are there 1, 3 or 5 RCA ports on the back of your tv?
Some tv's have more than 1 set of RCA ports..are there no ports on the side of your tv? If so, try those instead.
If you have 5 ports only, you may need to use the green one for the yellow cable. This might result in a black & white image, and will be used purely to change your wii settings to use a higher resolution.

Tip

Reset your Wii Video Settings to the Default

One annoying thing about the Nintendo Wii is that there is no way to reset the video settings once you have changed them in the Nintendo Wii System Menu.

It will not detect which cables you are trying to use and just tries to use the last settings that you set it to.

So, if you have changed your Nintendo Wii from using the regular cables that came with the system to using component cables, then switch back to a TV using regular RCA cables (these are the yellow, red and white cables) then you need to reset the settings on your Nintendo Wii to the default video settings.

You can reset your Nintendo Wii video settings to use Composite (or RCA - Yellow, Red and White) cables by doing the following:

1. Make sure the Nintendo Wii is powered off and a red light is showing.

2. With the power off, unplug the video cables from the back of the Nintendo Wii, leave them plugged into your TV (these should be the RCA/Composite cables)

3. Press the Power button on the front of Nintendo Wii. Make sure the cables are still unplugged.

4. Keep the Nintendo Wii powered on and plug your cables back into it with it still running.

5. If all went well, the picture should appear normally now.

6. Once the picture has reappeared, you should go into the Nintendo Wii Menu (the Wii button in the bottom left hand corner) and change the display back to 480i to make the changes permanent.

I hope this tip helps!

I have a panasonic 1080p hd tv, a samsung dvd/vcr,nintendo wii and a bt vision + box, how do I connect the nintendo wii?

if your dvd vcr has an rca input and output try going into it with the wii and out to the tv. Unfortunately mine does not have input only output and I have to swap the rca plugs on the back of the tv. If you still need help I would need to know all the connection types you have on each product to set up a pattern.

My wii comes on and you can hear the sounds but no picture and i have it all hooked up to the right things but still no pic.help

Hello.

Are you using RCA to connect it (red, yellow, white wires)? Try another port on your TV. The video slot of your TV might be malfunctioning. Depending on your TV, they usually have ports infront and at the back.

I can hear the Wii, but not see the picture

You have 1 of 3 problems.

1. The RCA cables (Yellow, White, and Red cables) are damaged.

2. The port on the wii that the RCA cable goes is damaged.

3.The ports on the TV are damaged.

Nintendo Wii AV Cables not work

It could be a problem inside the Wii where it only outputs a signal through HD. Have you tried a different TV using the original cables? If the problem persists I would recommend calling Nintendo.

Nintendo wii wont work with older model of Sanyo TV

how are you connecting the wii to the tv...through the rca jacks?  If so, you can not get to the input channels by the channel button.  On the remote there will be a button called either AV, Input, AV Video, Video, A/V, Input or something similar.  Hit this button until your tv goes to the appropriate av channel.
