Hey there, Shouldn't be too difficult. Just two nuts to remove. If unsure about reconnecting wiring, draw yourself a little diagram clearly indicating the colours. Let me know if you are having further problems.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Fan and element not working

hi not sure if you've had a reply but when my zanussi main oven stopped working i just changed the element (purchased from e bay).
open oven door and the back you will see 4 screws(basically 4 corners) remove these screws and you will see the element, pretty straight forward to remove, obviously fan wont work until you have heat (hopefully fan ok) you can give this a go, cheaper than buying a new oven. i have done this twice. hope this helps.

Tip

Broiler element does not get hot enough.

I did some work recently on a free-standing electric range.
The broiler element was heating up just a little. It was not getting red hot.
The range was practically new.
I discovered the crimp-on spade terminals to the broiler element had lost their springiness and were not making good contact with the element terminals. The ends of the wires going to the broiler element also showed signs of excess heating due to resistive contacts.
I bought a pack of new, high temperature crimp terminals at the appliance parts store, stripped the wires, and crimped the terminals on.
The original crimp terminals were right-angle. The new crimp terminals are straight. I didn't have a specialized tool for right-angle crimps. The straight crimps worked fine.
Just make sure there's plenty of clearance between the rear cover and the wires coming off the crimps to the Calrod.
Broil element now works great.
By the way, other ranges I've worked on use screw-on terminals instead of press-fit spade terminals. Not sure if press-fit spade terminals hold up after many years of service.
Maybe if an emergency repair needs to be done, could try drilling a hole carefully through the assembled spade terminal and putting in a 4-40 screw to recover the contact without having to buy replacement terminals.

Hi, I have a Rangemaster 110 (electric double oven), which has a double grill. Unfortunately one half of the grill has blown - not working. Is it easy to repair? Thanks a lot - Krisztina

Usually fairly straight forward. Remove the blown element being careful not to loose the wires into the void behind the grill. Insert new element making sure the orientation and wires are conected as the original was.

Main fan oven does not work, conventional main oven does work

The element is where you said and yes it can be replaced without removing the oven. Remove the bacplate from inside the oven and you will see the element and fan. Remove the screws from the element and gently pull it forward then remove the 2 wires and keep hold whilst you fit the new element. Replace screws in the element refit the backplate job done.

Oven problem

Check that the solar plus grill element is working properly by selecting full grill, the whole element should heat up, if only half element heats up , then you need to fit a new grill element complete.
If the grill element is o/k , then it is possible the top oven base element is faulty, to check that is working, put top oven on and after a few minutews feel the base of the top oven, and it should be hot to the touch if it is not, then the base element has probably failed , and you will need to fit a new one.
These are the possible reasons for it to heat up slowly.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

I want to replace the top grill element in a zanussi zhq 575

Regardless of wether it is built in or free standing you will have to remove the rear panel, possibly the top cover as well.
The element may be fastened from the inside of the oven .or on the outside at the rear, depending on which way the screws have been fixed.
Undo the fixing screws, disconnect the wires taking note of the connections ,this is very important, and withdraw the element from inside the oven.
Fit new element in reverse order, it is a fairly straight forward repair to do..
Plz rate my solution.Thanks.

Replaced oven heating element, now trips electric

Disconnect the new heater and try it again , if it still trips then your problem is elsewhere, if it does not trip, then it points to the new element being faulty.
If it is fan assisted make sure the fan is running o/k.
Hope this helps.
Please leave feedback.
Thanks.
