Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

1 Answer

Iphone problem I bought my iphone unlocked but I re-locked it b/c I was having problems with it and then I unlocked it myself with a download I bought off ebay. Well now my iphone says to put in an unlocked and valid SIM so I put my T-Mobile SIM in and plugged it into my computer but my computer says that the SIM card is not valid so it won't let me register it so I can use it. Someone please tell me how to get my computer to recognize my iphone or tell me how to relock my iphone so I can unlock it again.

There is no known way to bypass an iCloud unlock unless the previous owner provides the correct credentials for the account in question. Performing a factory restore will not remove the lock since the lock requires authentication through Apple's servers. Hypothetically even if you could restore the device to a previous firmware, the lock will remain.

Iphone won't recognize sim

Your phone must be jail broken and unlocked to use non AT&T sim card. Be sure you have correctly installed redsn0w and ultrasn0w unlocker. If you have recently updated your phone that will undo your jailbreak and unlock. You will need to reapply them for the version of your iPhone OS if they are available.

Iphone showing no service

If it was bought unlocked for under $700 then it was unlocked illegally after updgrading to 3.0 it is locked again. If you upgrade to any of appples unpdates your phone will be locked each time and you will have to wait for an unlock solution to be released each time. Currently there is no way to unlock the 3g under 3.0 firmware only the 2g is unlockable to the 3.0...I know case i have one. Jailbreaking and unlocking are different. You have to downgrade your firmware to unlock it. Restore your phone via iTunes using one of your old backups, you should be fine.

She might be able to use it to whack somebody over the head if she gets attacked.

1.1.2 ootb iPhones are still unable to be unlocked for use on any network. It could be Jailbroken and then you could use all the features apart from making and recevings calls, sms etc. This would also allow you to install 3rd party apps.
