Can not play music from the ipod dock, can see the songs but it will not play. HT-C6600

I have had problem with the unit freezing up. To resolve this, I remove the ipod from the dock
be sure a song is playing on the ipod; replace it into the dock; when the message - no disk - appears, then press the red "A" button to select ipod. That brings up song list and hitting the center SELECT botton on the remote, it plays the song correctly.

HOWEVER, if I hit the return button in the middle of play, I cannot go back and play a different song. The unit freezes on STOP. Or if I wait until the end and go back to the song list, then it starts to play the next song with no sound. When this happens the display on the unit flashes "MUSIC" / (play time), repeatedly.

The Samsung help-line thinks this is a problem with the iPod dock and are sending me a new dock. But I don't think that is where the problem is. I think the HT-C6600 is defective.

How to make a Romantic video and sync to your lover's ipod

Create a video on the subject of your love before Valentine's day, then sync it to her(his) iPod in secret and play for your lover on Valentine's day. Do you think this is an unique Valentines idea ? If yes, below is the detailed process:

Step1. Choose a Video

The first thing you want to do when making a Valentines video is to choose a good video. Doubtless, the best video material is the video clips of you and her(him) shot by DV, camcorder, digital camera, mobile phone etc. If you don't have these material, you could get some romantic videos from Movie DVDs or internet like YouTube etc.

Step2. Decide the theme
Now you need to identify the theme of the video. You can start by getting an romantic title for the video. An example would be "The hardest thing to do is loving you forever", "I love you, not for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you" ...

Step3. Write An Outline
Like kind of a script, the outline will be the basis for the Valentines video, Use the outline to insert love quotes/poems, romantic situations and any other ideas you want to add.

Step4. Edit video
Edit it by some video editing software. Vegas Pro, Or Final Cut Pro are good programs but if you are on a budget, check out this article "Top 10 free video editing software programes". Edited video will play an important part in make a video being romantic.

Is it possible to plug an Ipod into this system?

Hi, it is possible. All you need to do is get a two to one RCA cable. (one side RCA that has two mouths stereo, and the other side will have a jack mouth that will go into the ipod.

Connect the RCA cable to the output of the bose lifestyle system and connect the jack to the input of the ipod(where you plug your ear phone in.).

After that, set the bose to AUX. and you can start playing songs in no time.

Take care.

My 40gb ipod was sound locked how can i unlock?

well you can follow the steps below and see if that helps. If it does not please let me know and i will assist you from there. unfortunately the password for the volume lock is whatever you set it as but you can do this. Plug in your iPod and iTunes will open ( or open it youself)Select all you songs by clicking ctrl and A. (PC's: Ctrl and A at the same time. Mac's: Apple and A at the same time.) Right click your songs. Click "Get Info" Click "Yes" Click the "Options" tab Check "Volume Adjustment" Put the Curser all the way to "+100%". Select Ok! Hidden Folder for Mac's Enable hidden folders. If you go into Terminal and run these two commands all the hidden files appear when you open Finder. defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE killall Finder To get back to hiding hidden files use these commands defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE killall Finder Navigate to the hidden folder named "iPod_Control", and once there click on the folder "Device". Once there, delete the file named "_volumelocked". Eject your iPod. Then, restart your iPod. You can do this by holding down the center and menu button for at least 6 seconds. Once your iPod has rebooted, check and make sure that it worked. Simply go into "Settings", "Volume Limit". If it asks for a PIN, you did it WRONG. Retry the above procedure.
Hidden folders for windows PC Enable hidden folders. In Windows explorer,go to "Tools", "Folder Options". Then click on the tab called "View", and under "Hidden Files and Folders", click "Show Hidden Files and Folders". Navigate ("My Computer" to double-click on the icon of your attached iPod) to the hidden folder named "iPod_Control", and once there click on the folder "Device". Once there, copy the file named "_volumelocked" to a folder on your hard drive then delete it from the iPod. Eject your iPod. Then, restart your iPod. You can do this by holding down the center and menu button for at least 6 seconds. If using an iPod Nano, hold down the center button and menu button simultaneously for about 10 seconds. Once your iPod has rebooted, check and make sure that it worked. Simply go into "Settings", "Volume Limit". If it asks for a PIN, you did it WRONG. Retry the above procedure.
Warning: Note that some methods may not work on all iPods. Not all ipods have the file called "_volumelocked" it is impossible to get better sound on some of the ipod gens, for example the 5g 60-80 gigabyte ipods. Don't Listen to music too loudly. It will destroy your hearing. Don't delete any more files than necessary as it may prevent your iPod from working

Ipod docks to philips sound bar, but produces no sound...

Check the iPod dock connector for dust or pocket-lint. Use compressed air to blow it out if there's debris in there.

Then check the sound bar's connector to make sure the universal dock connector is clean and doesn't have any damage to the connector.
