Question about Computers & Internet
I may be computer stupid but I thought I could just unplug the router from my computer. When I do that I get an error message when I go into my email. Could someone please tell me how I go about unplugging the router properly?
When turning off your network always do this:
This should be in the exact order
1.turn off computer
2.turn off router
3.if necessary, turn off modem
To avoid having this problem again, you can just leave your modem and router on all the time, anyway this devices are designed that way(thats why they do not have a switch).
Proper way of turning on the network
1.turn on the modem, wait for 1 minute
2.turn on the router
3.turn on computer
