Question about OKI MICROLINE 320 Turbo Matrix Printer

Changing the paper lever

How do I change the Paper Lever on Oki 321 Turbo? Do I need to take other parts out before taking the paper lever? Is there a specific position that would be best to take it out (Front- Middle or back)?
can you point me to where I can find the service manual?

Many thanks

Have you tried taking out the Platen Roller (big smooth one) and washing it??? Soapy water is fine as long as you rinse & wipe it down to get the soap off... Sometimes the platen rollers slip when dirty and they can cause similar jams.

You may have tried to change the paper release lever position while paper was still in the printer. Return the paper release lever to the original position and eject the paper. Then change
the lever position.

Check that the printer cover is closed properly.

Installed a new okidata microline 320 turbo dot matrix printer and now the tear/set button does not set the paper where i need it to as my old printer did. How can i change the tear line setting?

Make sur that the paper length is correct in the settings. With paper in the printer hold down the "SHIFT" button then press the "SEL/MENU" button. The "SEL" indicatr will light up. Now press the "PARK" button, a settings page will print. Select your paper length you require by going through the settings, if you press the "LF" button it wil take you through the different groups of settings, the "FF/LOAD" button wil take you through the different items in the groups and the "TEAR" button will change the settings on the different items. To save the new settings hold down the "SHIFT" button and press the "SEL/MENU" button.

First, make sure that paper feed switch is set accordingly to the paper path you are using (rear feed, bottom feed or friction). If you make a change, turn the unit off and on.

If it is set correctly, there might be an obstruction on the printer top cover that interferes with the cover sensors. This forces the printer to think that the lid is still open and will signal it as you have described.

The last option will be a damage to the sensors or to the mainboard. This is rare, but if the case, you need a repair center.

Be blessed.

Oki printer problem

Possibly a defective paper sensor (small lever in the tray contacts
paper) Try removing, and inserting paper a few times if this clears it
then it was sticking. If that dosen't work then you will have to
disassemble it and inspect the area of the tray switch to determine
it it needs replacement
