There are unbalance switches inside your machine that if activated can cause the symptom you describe. Try pushing the drum in all directions and do your best to center up the wash tub with the door.

Also as the door just opens or closes there should be an audible click. No Click = no wash or door lock so no cycle can be started.

OL = Overloaded.

My Magtag Neptune TL 6800 started making a horrible squealing noise then smoke started coming out of the washer. What do you the problem may be?

You need to replace the belt needed to spin the drum. It sounds to me like you may have been overloading the drum, putting too much stress on the belt. Over time, it has begun to " burn rubber" as it spins, causing smoke, or worst case scenario, the motor that turns the belt is locking up as the drum spins causing friction on the belt.

Have you checked the 120VAC outlet for power. Plug a desk lamp or other device into the washer outlet and make sure 120VAC is present. If not check the breaker/fuse load center for a tripped breaker or blown fuse if a old house......Rich

I have a KENMORE WASHER MODEL 11020894990.The slow spin comes on and works fine but when it stops to begin the faster spin it makes a klunk klunk noise and will not spin.

Well the klunk-klunk is the Break grabbing, to stop it, as it is detecting, what it thinks, is some sort of Unbalance or Overload, or detecting a motor fault, etc, real or not, and is shutting itself down because of this.

the inicator on the cycle conrol knob proprely lined up with a cycle? turn the knob to the right slightly then pull the knob

FL stands for Flood Lock.
this happens when the unit has not tripped the water level switch in a certain amount of time
check that inlet water valves are turned on.
aftarwards it would most likely be a pressure switch,

Since you know about the lid and check switches, they are located under the splash (control)panel. unplug the machine and remove the screws holding the panel on. Using a meter check the switches for continuity and replace if they've gone bad.
