Question about Fuji FP-768 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Monitor gets brighter

After being on for a while, my monitor gets brighter, almost like the colors are fading a little. Settings seem the same, and I can lower the brightness in the monitor's settings, but there is still an issue of brightness/lack of color. This usually happens after the monitor has been on for more then an hour or so, it's 2 years old, and as far as I can tell it's working fine otherwise and not overheating.

Well... it's time for a replacement. It's seems your AD Board begin slowly to dies out... Eventually will turn to white screen.
You'll need a new AD Board.

The colors on my monitor are faded!!!! i got a compaq q2009

Check the backlight settings on the monitor, Sometimes they are set too low and it looks like the color is faded. In the monitor settings (on the monitor Itself) play with the color and brightness until you find a setting you like. If you need reset the monitor to factory.

LG 700E CRT 17" monitor,

problem with the monitor Display cable. it is damaged.

Normally monitor will receive 3 colors red, green, Blue signals from CPU. If one cable i.e Red wire connection is missing in display cable which is connected to monitor, Red color image on monitor wil be replaced with other fade color.
So, need the replace the display cable or display connector!

The colors on my monitor are faded/bright always changing.

Right click on your desktop (not an icon but a blank space), click "personalize", click on the tab on the far right(settings), click the drop-down menu on the left side above the colored banner, make sure it is set to the most colors(usually 32). If you need a walkthrough for Vista I can provide that as well.

Screen is fading left to right. text starts black and turns to brown

Might be that your monitor is starting to go bad. Try another known good working monitor on the computer. If it works properly then you know its a problem with your original monitor. If the 2nd monitor doesn't work properly then its a problem with your video card.

If your original monitor is the culprit then it could be bad caps on the main board but regardless you could possibly take it back to Best Buy and get it replaced since it should at least still be under the manufacturers warranty.

Color fades at bottom of screen

Although it is possible that your monitor is defect, you should first run a monitor test to see if you just need to adjust some of the settings. Go to this webpage and just follow the instructions.
The test are done best in full screen mode (F11 in most browsers).

Do you have any sources of magnetic fields next to the monitor (speakers, halogen lights, sometimes even a cordless phone can cause distortion).

If you can, connect this monitor to another computer and see if the problem persists. This way you eliminate any hardware related issues (cable, video card).

If you have any more questions (also regarding the results) come back here and leave a comment. I will check back and see what else we can do.

Brightness of monitor changes itself to quite dim

YOu can go to the monitor settings to make sure nothing's been changed. It could be an energy saver issue where the display dims after a certain period of time, and you can reset it to longer period of time so it would stay bright for you

Color of the monitor is in problem

I don't know why samsung company didn't do anything about this problem. It will cost their business to downgrade. Most of my monitors have the same problem like this. Even the service center can't do anything about this problem. So I recomend to those who is planning to buy a good monitor not to buy samsung monitor or else, you will experience the same problem as mine. Well if samsung personnel can read this, pls. give us advise how to solve this problem or else you will lose most of your customes.

Dual-Monitor Color Difference

The solution to this one is simple. Goto to the monitor that does not match and match it through the front panel settings. Also I would check to see if both are set exactly alike in the windows hardware settings.
