I have a ricoh caplio r3 digital camera. whenever i take a photo indoors with flash the photos come out white because the flash is too bright unless you go further back, in which case the photos are too dark or too far away. is there any way of reducing the flash??
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES there is a solution if that is the r3 thing. There is a menu button and the menu button has four arrows around it right??? Yeah, well, press the arrow pointing west to change the flash's power. And if that doesnt work just press the up button instead and that should bring you to a menu or something where you can change what kind of picture the camera will take. At least, thats what i think...

I have the same problem. Hard to find a happy medium between flash
being too bright or not bright enough. 1.5 mteres seems best. The Ricoh
Caplio3 doesn't take good pictures in low light if you attempt without
the flash.
I now have lost my display - can just see it in bright light.
Brightness control is cranked to the max. Are there any tricks to
changing the settings other than what is offered?
Would a cell phone sitting next to the camera cause problems with it's software?
