Is the smart mix valve turning easily? If so then the cap and valve at the bottom of the soap bottle may be bad. Is the seal on the valve onm the bottle, needs to be on the bottle and not sitting in the hole where the bottle sits in.

The plastic nob to hold in the cleaning solution is broken

I am assuming you refer to the solution tank valve. there are 2 basic models, a one compartment that holds the soap and water mixture and the 2 compartment keeping soap and water separate. in either case, the valve can be replaced. The tank will need evaluation before that can be reapired. I would take the tank into a repair shop

Water does not dispense on wash cycle

this would be the soap/ water valve. it is stuck closed or isn't opened.( no cure for an non-opened valve, just replace.)

System will spray soap, but no water is mixed.

I had the same problem. After 3 weeks of seals belts pump etc. I was ready to give up.
The problem with mine as I suspect with others is the seal on the water tank.
The bottom plastic connector is not high enough to allow the water to flow to the pump.
My solution was to raise the bottom connector 3/16 of an inch.
I did this with a piece of plastic cut like a flat washer or auto gasket material could be used.
The connector must be removed from the bottom by pressing on the tabs. Hope this helps.

Mostly likely there is a problem with the valve at the bottom of the soap bottle. Try replacing it.

Bissel powersteamer clearview will not spray water

Did the gasket on the bottom of the water tank come off and is either missing or sitting in the hole where the tank sits? It needs to be on the tank.

Does water squirt out of the hose nozzle, if it does, then check the heater inside the handle asm. Make sure that where the tubes hook up to it are not clogged. If water doesn't squirt, check for the seal at the bottom of the tank, it needs to be on the tank, not in the hole, this is for the soap bottle also, there is a seal on the bottom of it as well. The flow indictor cap is leaking air or maybe is too tight. If you had the top cover off, make sure that the tubes are routed right so as not to get pinched when the cover is put back on, the smart mix knob should be in the water setting and that the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix knob. Pump is bad. Try running a mix of vinegar and water to see if that unclogs the lines. Is the top cover and the base tight together in the back, sometimes the top breaks loose and it will raise up and it can't spray, just re-fasten it down.

Here is a picture breakdown, maybe that will help. Sometimes tho you can run a mixture of vinegar and hot water thru it, it may clean it out ok.

This might help, I've had this one torn apart....way too many times, never enough water, limited water, water starts and stops. I've just now discovered that the problem is in the soap selection valve. if the internal valve is pushed too far down into it's seat, it blocks the water flow enough to cut off the limited suction that stupid little pump provides. You should see and immediate, extreme jump in water flow. Good luck
