Question about Miele 24 in. G665 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Miele no heat

Moved the dishwasher last week; ever since everything works except the heat; is it the thermostat?
Is it an easy job to replace?
Have found stat for g660; will it be the same as for the g665?
Any ideas please?

The last I checked, the G660 will not work for the G665. If you look under Applicances in your phone book, you will see several appliance repair places. Most of them can get you universal kits to replace this. I however caution however that you should really let a tech look at your dishwasher. Something tells me that boards got shorted out by mistake without realizing it.

I just replaced the T-stat on my 2003 Focus ZX3 last weekend. I'm a novice; it was easy. You shouldn't have to remove anything except the T-stat housing. It's located on the right side of the block, across from the battery. You need a 10 mm wrench to remove the three bolts holding the housing onto the block. Removing the four hoses was the most difficult part. When they're off, the housing unit slides under and out. The T-stat and O-ring cost $20.

Heat and Air run at the same time in my rv

yes, replace your stat but also make sure your wire going to y on the stat has not shorted with the wire going to the w on your t-stat. To check to make sure remove the t-stat and short the wire going to r to the y wire and the wire going to the g terminal if it has that. if cooling works with no heat it's more than likely in the stat, if heat comes on then you may have other wiring, circuit board issues

Your dishwasher is stalling while the water heats on the rinse cycle if the water is very hot the thermostat that must be satisfied for the water to reach the correct temp. is weak and it needs replacing. Or if the heat element is full of build up on the outside of it,it's taking so long to heat to temp.
this links shows the t-stat in item # 30

This one is the heat element item #1

I hope this helps

Our Honeywell programmable thermostat is close to 20 years old. Within the past week or so I have notice that while the program shows the heat should be at 68 degrees, the thermostat is reading as low as...

Good Morning, and yes you said it. Anytime a stat doesn't come on when it is set for a call for heat or cooling, the sensor on the subbase of the stat has lost its ability to sense the correct temperature. I have seen mechanical stats last as long as 25 plus years, but that's truly amazing for a digital stat to last that long. Yes, replace the thermostat. I don't know what kind of system you have, but if its a gas furnace with an a/c, the wiring will look like this. You will have terminals marked R, Red, for the 24 volt hot wire, G, Green, Y, Yellow, and W, White for heat. Going back to the red wire, it should have RC and RH on it. There will be a normally red wire connecting the 2 terminals. The Red wire coming in can connect to either one, as they are all together. The new stat will come with the new Red jumper wire attached. So, if you do have a gas heater, this is very easy to install. The only terminals you will need to use are RH to RC for the incoming red, Y, G, and W for heat. Y is for cool, and G is for fan. Very easy. Now if you have a heat-pump, they have many more terminals and can be a problem wiring them. If you have gas, forget the heat pump. I wont confuse you by going there. If it is a heat-pump, contact me in the comment box to let me know, and I can help you there also. Get a new stat at Home Depot, Lowe's Hardware, or O.S. Hardware. You want a 5 day, 2 day programmable Heating and cooling thermostat, 24 volts. It will have everything you need. See if it takes batteries for the display, they may not come with those, it will say on the box. Turn off your power to heater, so you won't short out the new one. They come in 2 sections, first the stat that just snaps on, and the subbase that is screwed to the wall. It will have the wiring terminals on it. Remove a couple of screws and loosen wires and remove. Be sure you write down how the wires go in case they used different colors, you never know. You will be all set. Store the manual in a safe place for future use. I wish you the best.

Indesit DV 620 Dishwasher: Reaches the end of it cycle then sits for ever with the DRYING light flashing. Cannot reset it or start a new cycle. However, intermittantly it will reset.

Hi I had the same problem with the ID620. Just fixed it last week. With the ID620 flashing 4 means tha t there is a problem with the heating circuit. Either the element, the stat or the control board. Mine was a problem with the control Board. I took the board out and after some debug found a faulty zener diode. Replaced with new one from Radionics (1 euro) and machine now 100%.

1998 Ford Explorer: No heat. Checked everything and can't find the problem. New thermostat was installed. still no heat.

take out the glove box, you will see a white box about 3 inchs square with wires pulged into it, this is the diverter control, take the screws out, and remove it, then see if you cand move the diverter by hand too get heat, if you can then you need too replace the control or just lock the diverter in the heat position, i had this same problem last week in a 98 explorer and liked too never found it , ive got heat now!!!
