Question about Canon CanoScan LiDE 600F Flatbed Scanner
LiDE 600F having problems with scanning to PDF file. Unable to scan. Mak sure there is enough space on the target disk.. I have over 30G available.. What do I so?
I think I might have solved my own problem, at least for the time being. If my theory is correct, then it might be a permanent solution.
I had been goint through the "CanoScan Toolbox 5" configuration line by line to see if anything would suggest a solution when I noticed that the "Folder for where temporary files are stored" had an enormously long path of C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Canon\TB50\...... By the time the temporary filename is added to the end, it may have exceeded the permissible length the system can handle. So I changed it to C:\Temp and it all started to work for me.
Worth a try for my fellow sufferers.

I had the same problem with a CanoScan LiDE70. In Canoscan Toolbox under settings, I just restored the system defaults. Everything works fine after that. Had the same problem on two different machines and restoring defaults waorked on both.

This problem happens anytime I don't use the scanner for a while. Perhaps updates from other programs create these problems, I don't know.
Anyway, I had the same problem, and tried the earlier suggestions: Changed the destination folder to C/temp.
That didn't work. Then I went to Settings in the CanoScanToolbox, and found that the Button Settings were not correct, with Photo-1 being set at Copy function, or some such change. I corrected Photo-1 to be for Photo, and now it seems to work.

I did the same as the other chap and reduced the temp folder path - it all started working again

The C:\Temp solution worked for me, too. But it didn't last. I believe that a registry scan/delete was the cause. I redid the C:\Temp, so I'll watch this next time I run the reg. scan.
By the way, can't Canon provide a permanent fix for this somehow? They're usually very good at customer service.

When i had the same problem, I used the C:\temp suggestion and it worked for a while. When the problem recurred, I select the default location under the "settings" button which worked for a while. Then back to using C:\temp which again worked for a while, etc. etc. etc. So, just keep on cycling mate!
