Thanks for the input.
I actually was in the process of trying to update the firmware when it last locked up. Unfortunately now I can't get it to dock and connect to update it. I will keep trying, but will likely need to find a place to send it in to get it looked at. Do you know of any links or places to send Creative products for repair?
Thanks very much.

Re: latest firmware solution
No not off hand, try pushing the reset button, and holding the power button at the same time, and it should bring you to the recovery menu, and select reformat, or whatever option it is that completely erases the player.

Unfortunately this is a known issue with a series of faulty bios firmware versions that came out with a batvh of toshiba models over the last few years, your best bet is to try updating the BIOS (downloading the latest BIOS revision for your model here: www.helpit.net.au/Downloads/Toshiba/410BL_rev1.70BIOS.exe) Run the update making sure to backup all your data BEFORE the update. this revision shuold remove the password bug from your system. Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.
Before returning the player, try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZM+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.
By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?
I hope it won't keep freezing on you after the update.
If the software/firmware is missing, there was an error during the update of the firmware, most likely corrupt file(s) causing the unit to not being able to boot up properly.
You can try plugging it in to the computer again and re-install latest firmware version again. If your unit is unable to stay on during this process however, you'd probably need to send this unit in to service, as there isn't much else to do, as an end user.
Contacted SkyGolf directly and they were very helpful. It was a simple software reset accomplished in two steps:
On the TOOLS pulldown menu, select RELOAD, then select RELOAD LAST APPLICATION, which in my case was the latest firmware update (ver 2.2). They (SkyGolf Tech Support) also accesses your computer remotely via a HS Internet Connection and can do the entire process for you.
It then reset the last update program, which had stalled (causing the lock-up) and then all I had to do was reinstall the latest update, disconnect the Skycaddie and do a GPS RESET outside where it can capture the satellites, then do another SYNC to get it back where it was before the problem began.
I was very thankful that it did not require sending the unit in for repair or replacement.
Additionally, the newest firmware update adds SCORING capabilities to the SG4, which I think is cool.

My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware.
The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated
the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.
