Question about Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer
Recently my printer showed a flashing "Drum" led light. Everything still worked good so I ignored the light implementing the strategy of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I recently moved to a new location and when I reconnected my printer the drum light stayed lit continuously and the printer, while responding to a request for printing, will only warm up and then does nothing, How do I check the drum to see if it needs replacing and how do I replace it if that is what is needed?
I'd say it's not Broke, so go ahead and fixya it...
that indicator lamp is all you need to know.
I'm assuming this is out of warranty, right?
so, there are two options..find a drum on the net, or through their parts group. get service manual, and have at it. I can assure you that this operation will take all your patience and forbearance.
