Question about Televison & Video
We have had this TV for about 16 months. Suddenly today after we we watched a DVD, we noticed these blue lines coming out of the bottom right corner of the screen. They are not perfect horizontal lines...somewhat like a 'mass', if you will. I have pictures, but can;t figure out how to post them. We have never seen them before, and at the moment only see them when that area of the picture is dark. Can someone tell me if this is the color convergence that need to be adjusted? And if so...how to get to that little panel? Thanks! We have a KDF-E42A10 with same problem and repairman said the same thing to a cost of $920.00. Have emailed sony and hoping for resolution to this issue from them.
Problem is going to defective optical engine $920.00 for repair sounds about right if not cheap. the parts cost is most of that price. check sony website or call and see if they will pay the repair cost for you.
