Question about Edirol UA-4FX External Sound System

To know sound device problem

Any audio files in my system are not being played.it is giving an error message that it may not be installed though i installed it.an yellow mark is given besides the media audio controller when i checked in device manager properties

My laptop doesn't produce any sound.


Did you check start->control panel->system->hardware tab-> device manager and see if there are any errors related to your sound drivers? Probably see a yellow exclamation

check the sound drivers in device manager. if it gives yellow sign then re-install sound drivers.

you may need to access the computer's manufacturer website to download the sound drivers. another way you could try is to click Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc and hit <Enter> to open device manager

go to the Sound section and expand it --- then highlight the device and right click and then select Update Driver.

you may need to re install the sound card drivers. Go to the main computer site, and see what they say about this. Happens sometimes.

Sound Driver


Your sound device is either damaged or has no driver installed. Look in Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager for yellow marks.
You'll find the driver at the Compaq site.
I can't help you further without a model number.

Sound Drivers


you have to download the sound drivers and install the software..can't give you the exact driver as haven't specified much about your PC.
still try to download one of the common driver like realtek- Ac97... from the following URL ..

or try to download other audio drivers and install it...your problem would be fixed.
