Mi micro innovations wireless keyboard and optical mouse combo KB 985 W will not work across the room unless I hold it over my head

It is obviously that the unit have a defective receiver. If replacing the battery from the keyboard does not help, you might need to return the item from the store.

I cant type backslash in my dell keyboard

The problem is probably with your keyboard. If your PC is still under warranty then you can call up the costumer care and avail a free keyboard and submit your current defective keyboard. Dell has an excellent costumer service. Don't hesitate to call them up. Your keyboard will be delivered within a few days.

Lenovo keyboard some of the buttons dont work.

You may need to replace the keyboard on your computer. Also you might have a loose cable connection to the board either way you are going to have to disassemble it and replace the keyboard. They are not that expensive to purchase the only thing is the labor and the knowledge you will need to do it.

If you have never attempted this before laptops if this is what kind of keyboard you need it for or a PC just replace it. They are relatively inexpensive to replace laptop or PC of PC is much easier to handle. Get it done by someone that knows laptop computers again do not attempt if you have never done this before if it is a laptop we are talking about not sure. Thanks for using FixYa! John

It doesn't work

Please vote and rate me if this helps.

First you will have to go to this site and download the drivers for the mouse :
http://www.dynexproducts.com/pc-331-25-dynex-wireless-optical-mouse.aspx
And then you will have to follow these directions which were found on the site :

Communication Interference for Wireless Device Owners
If you have multiple Dynex mouse/keyboard sets set-up in close proximity they may interfere with each other causing incorrect operation of the device.
Press the receiver synchronization button on the base unit and the base's blue LED should start flashing. Turn over the mouse and
keyboard and on each device hold down the Connect button for two seconds. This will force the unit to operate on a different channel and
should allow multiple keyboards/mice to operate in close proximity.

If this does not work you may have a defective mouse, but it should work.

Acer 5100 keyboard and mouse will not work. No

Hello there, this is usually caused by one of three things.

Either something was just plugged in (usually USB) that is interfering that you can just unplug

The computer has locked up for another reason (more in a sec.)

Mainboard could possibly be bad / going bad =(

To test if the computer itself is locked up try plugging in an external USB mouse or keyboard to see if you can get that to work. If it does then that means the keyboard and mouse built in are failing, which again basically means the mainboard is failing.

Hopefully it will be that the computer is completely locked up so when you plug in an external usb mouse or whatever it won't respond. That's easiest to fix.

Please let me know

Thanks
Tim

Maxdata keyboard suddenly does not work after two years.  Only the touch pad works

sounds like your keyboard connector has come loose, these eyboard units are actually a seperate keyboard and mouse pad built into one unit, so the mouse's electronics are seperate,

you may also want to check the connector to see if there are any broken/bent pins in the connector (sometimes happens, when accidently unplugged)

hope this helps :)
