Could be that the pixels on the Ipad are set to high for the TV at the bottom left it shows what the pixals are accepted.

My AB-48P776 has a cracked screen

I will presume it is a AV and not a AB model. Screen may or may not be available from JVC but if it is will be expensive.

Google the model with 'replacement screen" as several sellers have replacements----outer should be clear protective screen and the unit will have 2 more behind it.

another option might be EBAY where junked sets are offered for parts---get the entire front frame with all screens?
