I recently purchased a Hampton Bay 52" Clarington with Remote control. My question is, where/how does the remote unit store within the housing. I've tried numerous methods but can't mount the motor assembly without the remote unit in the way. I know this is probably a simple soultion. Hopefully you can help
It slides in above right above the ball, in the mounting bracket where the canopy is. You may have to kind of encourage it to go in there, and you will need to push wiring off to the sides and out of the way to help it have clearance to get in there.
Remote for Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan- Clarington 52" remote just quit working. Changing battery didn't help. Can't reduce fan speed and can't turn on light. Help!
I just figured it out. So the mountaing plate, has a piece that protudes down, which you slide the ball into to hang the fan. Well, you can slide the receiver INSIDE the MOUNTING PLATE right above the ball... as long as the ball is inserted correctly, there will be enough space. The ball has a vertical slot, which needs to have the tab from the mounting plate resting inside of it.
Mount the unit inside the ceiling and run the wires and antenna though the outlet box to make the connections.
My remote receiving unit mounts within the cover closest to the ceiling just under the mounting bracket and ball.
How do you switch the blade direction? I can't find the Summer/Winter switch

The remote unit referred to is the Receiver
I recently purchase 52" and I would like to buy an additional remote control.
I am using the close-to-ceiling method for installation, and it seems to just "rest" on the bracket attached to the outlet box. There is nothing to hold it in place. Will this work?
We have this fan and my father-in-law and I are trying to install it with a vaulted ceiling. We have run into a problem because after placing the receiver in the mounting bracket, it forces the post to make the whole ceiling fan crooked. Are we missing something here?
