Yes replace the EOC (electronic oven control) after you verify that the board is getting power (no burned wires, no loose connectors) there usually is not a loose wire and the clock has failed. www3.sears.com for parts i can help with parts lookup and sourcing if needed will need complete model #

Further inspection found that the ribbon got damaged during the re-instalation of the clock board. A new front control board had to be ordered and installed.

SOURCE: Unlocking Oven controls

According to the manufacturer's website you should only need to Press and hold the "Lock" key for 5 seconds. A single tone will sound and the "Loc" will disappear off the display.

SOURCE: GE Range Model GRCR3825ZWW-1 DOOR error code on range display

The door latched Micro-switch is not working or is dirty.
Remove the back panel, in the middle of the back there will be a metal arm that moves in and out when self cleaning latch is closed and opened. This arm pushes two or more Micro-Switches in the back, they are dirty or not working and need replacing.

Hi,

To my understanding error code F1 would indicate a faulty control board, possibly thermistor control. The only recourse is to have this replaced.

This of course would require a fair familiarity of electrical/electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and possibly a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

What is wrong with our GE Profile Gas Range? After using the broiler and two burners simultaneously, the electronic controls go black. We can manually light stovetop burners but oven does not work.

On the back of the stove are 2 blower fans just under the cooktop. They are cooling fans to keep the controls from overheating. They are a long tube type fan and are left and right side. My guess is one or both are not coming on. They are controlled by a round disk temp control also under the cooktop. At a preset temp these fans should come on and keep all the control area cool enough to stop any damage. The fans need tested and maybe the temp control needs replaced.

· Look for welded relay contacts. (Heating elements on in off mode).
· Look for open thermal switch in lock motor circuit. Switch is normally closed and will open if area overheats due to fan not operating. Look for cause - fan thermal switch not closing, fan stalled, etc.
· Look for high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit due to high contact resistance (poor terminal crimp, deformed terminals, loose connection) or intermittent solder joint on control or intermittent oven temperature sensor.
· Look for electrical noise interference in the oven temperature sensor circuit (Ham radio, cordless phone, etc.).

Hi

The issue can either be a bad electronic control/clock assembly or the oven temperature sensor (probe) has gone bad. To solve this issue start by checking the oven temp. sensor for 1100 ohms, if the rating is more then 1120 ohms then it should be replaced however, if it reads between 1080-1120 ohm then check the control and door switch and replace the part that is bad. You can also check the wire harness from the control to the electronic board. Hope this helps...

F7 is a stuck key. Usually you can't get a key unstuck. Best thing to do is replace the keypad / user interface. Here are some of GE's error codes:

GE
