Of course this problem can be fixed but only temporarily..This is the main problem with LCD screen displays.Either you replace the screen and use it for the time being or sell it off before the liquid leaks out completely.

Camera viewing screen greyed out

If this also shows up on the pictures it could be a defective Sony CCD issue. If so, Sony will fix your Minolta camera for free (with free shipping) regardless of warranty. You need to do this before March 31, 2008 so get going! See this link:

http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/11/sony-konica-minolta-cameras.html

The Dimage models that Sony is accepting for the recall repair are:
Dimage 7HI, 7I, A1, Xi, F300, XT, X20, S414.

Camera shut down

Hi the problem your having is that a component on the board isnt letting the correct power come from the battery therefore giving false reading on the batt display the huge problem you have is that they dont repair these cameras it just isnt financially worth it so unless you know how to test all components on the board the chances of getting it reapired are slim to none their isnt anything you can do as it is a board problem.
If you tested the battery and this is fine then the problem is deffinately with the board.
How long have you had the camera if its not long then i would get a refund as repairing is something they wont do sorry i couldnt help you any more but other experts will tell you the same

Konica Minolta DiMAGE E500

I disagree it is a CCD problem. Turn the camera on and observe the diaphram in the lens to see if it opens. If it opens you should see the CCD under a strong light. If not then the problem is with the shutter that allows live view. This model and also Minolta E500 and Vivitar all use the same chassis and all have this shutter problem. I still haven't figured out how to fix it though.

Need to replace 2.5 inch TFT display

Ah that's a shame! But here's the dealio - fo'get about it. Er, well unless your a camera tech sort of person. In which case, you can prolly buy the display directly from Konica. But my experience has been -for even the smallest part- you can buy a new digital camera for what they're going to charge you for the part. Especially the lcd. Actually, I hardly use my lcd screen anyway. I prefer using the viewfinder. Using the lcd as the view finder makes you hold the camera way out and increases your chances for blurry photos.
