My Pioneer DEH-4900IB plays music but there is no power to the unit. I can't turn it on or off, change volume, see a display but it still plays music. How can it do that?

I just had the same problem with my Pioneer radio. I pulled the radio fuses from my car's fuse box. This essentially forced the radio to turn off. A couple days later I placed the fuses back in and the radio functioned normally. Hopefully this will work for you.

Pioneer DEH-P6500 head unit doesnt turn on

Check your radio fuse. It is likely if you didn't disconnect your battery terminal that you may have blown a fuse.
About the speaker distortion, you may need to install filters to each speaker. They are not very expensive and can be found at just about any electronics store.

DEH-5800Mp Button lights wont turn off when the ignition is off

Try installing a toggle switch to cut the power and the light may be on because you have the illumination wire hooked up.

Tail and dashboard fuse keeps blowning

unhook black wire from harness and the ground from pioneer unit install the ground wire from pioneer unit to frame of car (you may need extra wire to do this) make sure the black wire from pioneer unit is bolted to frame of car not to the harness black wire........fuses will no longer blow and you will have your lights.
hope this helped

Pioneer DEH-2100, no power after alternator change.

Take the unit out of the dash. In the back of the unit, disconnect/remove the wiring connector. Underneath a little "flap" on the bottom of this connector there is a small red 10V fuse. That fuse had blown, and when I replaced it the CD?radio worked just fine.

Pioneer DEH-P2000

Most of the car stereos are 40 to 50 watts output.so they need a stronger fuse than 3A.This kind of radios use 10A fuse.

Sound shuts off, sub still works

That is a common problem with this radio, for it can not go to loud without going down in volume or shutting down.

At high volume sound shuts off, subs still work

You most likely have a shorted or damaged speaker, which is causing the internal amp chip to shut down (but does not affect the preamp outputs). A test you can do is to fade to one speaker at a time and turn it up to se if it shuts down. Repeat with each speaker until you find the one that causes the fault. Then replace it.
