I conected my eclipse avn5500 and it wont let me pass a screen dat says check map disk eject cd and open and close do i need to hook all the wires up so it can work properly or do i need something else

my avn2205d eclipse dvd/cd/navigation just stopped playing.it only opens/closes and eject on the display and its all in japanse. please help me to sort it out i am sure it just the software to boot it all so.i will be greatfull.

If you can get to the back of the DVD player itself, you can try and kill the power to it and hook it back up. Sometimes, the software gets stuck when its not powered down correctly.
If you cant get to it, try disconnecting your battery, waiting about 30 seconds and then hook the battery back up.
for avn 5435 on the left:press menu and cont ant the same time, while holding them down press menu on the right 5 times
a menu will appear and ask you for a code. you have to call 800-233-2216 and pay $25 for the code. you will have to explain where you bought your eclipse and or know the name of the original owner. if it doesnt match they will not give it to you
