If it is an internal solution, using the directions provided by your motherboard manual (linked here in case you no longer have the physical copy: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P4P800&SLanguage=en-us 'user's guide english' at the very bottom [select winxp as operating system if you're prompted for it, open the manuals tree and navigate to the bottom of the list])

Check for the on-board USB2.0 pin-headers. You should be able to connect it to one of those.

Alternatively, if you want to just try and connect them directly, you should find the same pins in two sets of 7 pins in total near the bottom of your motherboard, labeled as 'E_USB1' and 'E_USB2' or similar.

Note that if the connector you're trying to place on there does not fit initially, then it may not be compatible. Do *not* try to force it or jury-rig it unless you are entirely sure of what you are doing, as you may damage the USB controller(s) and/or the entire motherboard in the process.

I would like to install a internal card reader with a usb port.

Those wires go into an internal USB extension connector - which your motherboard doesn't have. Get a PCI USB card and connect them to it - this way you will also get USB2.

Connecting a card reader to the mB

Most multi card readers are usb, but not the external kind that fits in the back of the motherboard, the internal kind.
If you look at the edges of the otherboard you will see three small blue connectors. Those are internal USB connectors, it should say next to them. Plug it in the correct way round (it will only go in one way) into any one of the three.

ASUS P4SDX USB Ports not recognized as USB2 HS Ports

The message comes up when a USB 2 device is connected to a slower USB 1 or 1.1 port. It is only to advise you that the devise will operate faster on a USB 2 port. If your computer has only USB 1 or 1.1 ports, you will always see the message. You can buy and install a card with USB 2 ports and install it. It will come with the USB 2 drivers. Install the card and the drivers and then connect your USB 2 device to the new hardware and you should not see the message anymore.

Good luck, And let me know ho it works out for you.

Wiring off the tower

The 2 grey wires with the 4 pin connectors would be for the USB ports at the front of the tower. They need to be connected to the motherboard usb pin outs. Usually marked on motherboard as "USB1", "USB2" etc. Generally the red wire should be the "power" and goes to pin1 or 2 on the connector. Pin 1 is normally marked by a thick line on the board at that end of the connector, but it's easier to say Pin1 is the opposite end to the single pin on it's own (which isnt used). You really should check the manual for the board to confirm the connections though.

USB2 Problem Windows thinks My card is USB1.1

what do you mean when you say that the 4 USB2 ports are all occupied?
when you say that there are 2 USB1 ports on the back of the case: are those ports connected to the motherboard at all?

what devices are you using to test your USB ports? is it possible that those are USB 1 devices?

FREEAGENT 250 GB AND USB2 NOT CONNECTING

Most of the time if you get an event 51 error you will need to reinstall drivers associated with that device to fix it. I would delete the device from device manager, uninstall any software that you installed for it, then restart your computer and reinstall the software. I would do this for both the card and the drive. I would also run Windows update to see if it finds any other drivers that you do not have installed. If that does not work it is possible that the card and drive might not work properly together. The only other thing I can suggest trying is reinstalling windows
