i agree IB4G2008:
please explain what your problem is.

• is it an external or internal modem
• is it a dial-up or adsl modem
• do you see any lights on the modem and how many
• Does it try to connect
• do you get any error messages when you try to connect
• has the modem been setup to your Internet service provider, with user name & password
• have you been connected to the internet before with this modem, on your current pc
