Note: Please make sure you download the correct one for your version of Photo Explosion 3.0. If you have the Deluxe version, download the Deluxe update. If you have the regular version, download the non-Deluxe update. 5. Save the update to an easily accessible location, such as your Desktop. 6. Once downloaded, go to where the update was saved and double-click the update. 7. After installing the update, you should no longer experience this problem.
Note: It is extremely important that you do not run Photo Explosion until you have restarted the computer and installed the update. If you run the program before installing the update, you will need to start the steps over from the beginning. This comes directly from the Nova FAQs. Hope this helps!
To work with MPEG-2 files, you must do a separate, one-time online registration. Video Explosion will automatically prompt you to register the first time you add or create an MPEG-2 file in Video Explosion. They will send you the unlock keys. Since the company no longer supports it, I guess nothing can be done. I got my keys awhile back and enjoyed doing videos for events. I am running Vista now which cannot take Video Explosion Deluxe so I'm screwed as well.
I had the same problem. The following sequence had it resolved within 12 hours:
1. Go here: http://www.novadevelopment.com/Support/Support_Options.aspx 2. Submit your problem/question online, i.e. "need unlock codes for MPEG-2 support" 3. You will get a confirmation email almost immediately just to confirm your inquiry. 4. A second email should follow with the code. 5. Open the software. When prompted for the code, copy and paste the Activation Code directly from the email.
I'm having the same problem... apparently you have to purchase the code... I'm going to call Nova Development customer service and I will let you know what they say... if you'd also like to call, the number is: 1-800-395-6682
