Hi thanks, this is a brand new unit.

I checked the pins and verified it with the system - so all of that is 100% - any other ideas?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I had Bose lifestyle V35, V20 try to link together. Bose link AL8 transmitter will not connect to receiver. both led is light solid green. Please help.

The commands for the Bose link system are actually going through the remote control system. In order to use the system you need not only a set of AL8 sender and receiver, but also a special remote control model RC48S2-40 these model numbers are slightly different for the US and for Europe. In addition you will need to activate the BoseLink connection through the system settings menu and you will need to tell the remote to which system it needs to talk. When you have done all that, there should not be any problem to "connect" the two systems. If this does not work, you may need some specialized help from a Bose specialist who understands this multi room set-up.

Hi, I have an error 180 message in my bose lyfestyle V20

"Error 180" is either very bad (video board is defective) or just a temporary fluke and meaningless.. Best case-> the "error 180" could be fixed by a simple reset (unplug the DC power cable from the media center for about 30+ seconds). Worst case-> this will have to be sent to Bose for repair. Try re-seating any HDMI or component cables at the back panel as well. If you can see your system menu (by pressing 'system' on the remote) then the video board may be fine. If not, still reset it before determining anything else. Also, if the input device (DVD player) is connected with HDMI, and the output (the V20) is component.. this canl cause the error as well.

Remote and player keys are not working/ volume is working

Hello, depending on how new your dvd player is ,and what brand it might be ,their are many variables to this answer , first of all if your volume works and the rest of the buttons do,nt ,I have to wonder if we are talking about a dvd player remote , because to tell you the truth i have never seen a volume control on a dvd remote! Is this a universal remote that controls your dvd and other components? if so you might have lost the code that you first programmed into it , if it,s not that ,Then lets look at the player that did work a day earlier and now it does,nt ,If niether of the two work then i would have to say it woul be a sensor issue in the board and most likely the recieving part of the board that recieves the signals from the remote and that same part of the board also controls you dvd function controls on it,s front.Another question is on electronics ,Do you have a surge protector on the components ? ,and if not Was their a storm recently in your area that could have possibly caused a power failure at your house that you might not have been around to wittness! When power surges happen near a home ( a close lightning strike) you could be out of the house and not realize it and when you return your power is restored but your digital clocks and microwave never lie when it comes to power surges because those are some of the first items you have to reset ,theese are asure sign that their was a power failure , if that was to occur without a surge protector to the dvd player , it,s quite possible it fried the board , Also make shure your remote batterys are fresh ,if it,s still not that you can try one more thing ,if you buy a universal remote for about 10 bucks , the control comes with a code book that can be programmed to your dvd player and see if that will work , if any of theese idea,s don,t seem to work consult your owners warranty manual for a possible replacement ,most home theater systems today are all in one units that have all the electronics in one unit including dvd , if this is what you have then definetly consult your manual and call customer service of your brand ,they will work with you and possibly honor the warranty and send you a new one ! I hope i was able to give you some idea,s and insight into helping you troubleshoot your problem ,! it,s been a pleasure trying to help,Sincerely Glenn mayer

Dvd-r problems

Unplug your AC power cord for a minimum of 30 seconds to clear the RAM. The RAM is used solely for dvd class history, and clearing this should solve your issue. If you want to convert your player to region free, which will allow you to play ANY dvd: 1 Disconnect your player from its power source for thirty seconds 2) Reconnect your player to its power source 3) Press the Power On button on your remote control 4) Press the Enter button on your remote control 5) Press the 8 button on your remote control 6 Press the 4 button on your remote control 7) Press the 2 button on your remote control 8) Press the 6 button on your remote control 9) Press the 9 button on your remote control 10)Press the Enter button on your remote control 11)Your player should now place itself in Standby mode 12)Press the Power On button on your remote control A word of caution if your convert your player is that disc eject issues may arise in which you will have to eject from the unit, or toggle your power switch on/off.....good luck my friend.

Koss KS5190 Display mode stuck

I'm not ranked and I'm not a Guru, but I can solve this picture rolling when the problem is "the video was accidently changed from NTSC to PAL and you can't see what your doing to get it back". You will need the remote control unit. First, remove the disc from the tray. Now, turn the unit off with the power button. The tray will close by itself. After the display on the front of the unit goes out, turn the unit back on using the remote control. This will let you know the remote control unit is working. When the power comes back on and the display on the front of the DVD player says, "NO DISC", with the remote control and (very important) while pointing the remote at the player, (Remember to point the remote before pressing any buttons) press the "Down Arrow" button 3 times. This will take you to the "Display" box. Now, press the "Right Arrow" button 1 time. This will take you to the "TV Image"box. Now, press the "Down Arrow" 1 time, this will take you to the "PAL/NTSC" box. If you have done everything as I have tried to clearly lead you blindly to your destination. Press the "OK" button 1 time and the picture on the screen will stop rolling and change from black & white to color. You will have now changed your video output from PAL to NTSC. If you press "OK" again, it will start to roll again. If this did not take care of your problem, turn the player off and try it again.
The previous problem solvers were on the right track, but the track was rough and they just about derailed the train. Thanks to them, I had a track to follow. I had no other information, except what I found on "Fixya.com". MR. CD
