Question about Akai LCT2701TD Television
I just got an Akai LCT2701TD TV/DVD combo. The DVD drive is blocked by two black plastic tabs of some sort. I tried to push them to see if they move but they don't so I can't use the DVD player.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
The Tabs you see are part of the DVD loading mechanism; they are there to prevent insertion of a DVD while there is already a DVD inside. If you cannot eject the DVD, then odds are the DVD drive is jammed or has "locked up" due to interface issues; on these models, sometimes it is the DVD drive which fails, & sometimes it is the control portion of the mainboard.
