I have a 1991ford explorer that will only stay running by manually holding key in run position. Have replaced ignition cylendor, still have problem. Something also seems to be draining new battery.

I think on those , there is a swich on the steering colum under the dash. A white box with wiring . Not real certain on that. Take the plastic covers off the bottom of the colum and dash, work your key on ond off and see where it is moving. Or get a shop manual. Just trying to help lol. Hope that helps

Where is the ignition switch in an 1989 chevy S-10

Remove lower dash panel, under steering wheel, there will be a bracket that holds steering wheel, remove both 15mm nut's that point up, not the 13mm bolt's the screw into the colum , steering wheel will come down enough where you will see the ignition switch on the top side of the colum, the switch will be screw to the colum with the head light dimer switch.

Wipers stop when turn signle is turned on and then wipers will only work when left signle is on

Your turn/wiper switch is bad in the steering column. It's not too hard to replace if you have a steering wheel puller. Be sure and disconnect the battery so you don't trigger the air bag.

I need to replave the key switch in a 1991 cavalier

First disconnect your negative battery cable. Then remove the plastic cover below your steering colum, and the covers that cover your headlight swith, turnsignal switch, ignition, ect. Remove the bolts that hold the steering colum to the dash, and allow it to lay on the drivers seat. Place a towel under the colum (to catch metal shavings), and drill out the two screws that hold the ignition in place.
Install your new ignition in reverse.

I need to change the ignition switch in my 1986 chevrolet pickup truck. How do I remove and install this part? Thanx.

the switch is located on the seering colum under the dash step 1 is to remove the access cover on the lower dash board. after disconecting the battery. step 2 is to carefully lower the steering colum 2 nuts to dash frame work (use care if automatic not to pullo the shift indicator wire or disconectit from the steering coulmn befor lowering. at this piont u should be able to feel and see the switch on the left upper side of the column it is held in place by 2 smal bolts which may also hold the dimmer for your headlighs. rommve the bolts disconect the wires and reoplace

2000 Jeep Cherokee Windshield Washer

You have a motor for the front and rear washer. Check the fuses. If the intermitted wipers does not work, there is a relay under the dash near the steering colum that needs to be replaced.
