Whirlpool DU1055XTSS trouble shooting

I have this little problem with the water standing in the bottom and won't drain. I just installed it slightly used from a foreclosure. It clened everything fine, but could the hose be too long and need to be shortened?

I wouldn't worry too much about shortening line, unless its extreme. ck fro possible restriction in line(possible kink ) or the sink down spout that is draining into. a d/w will ***** remove all the water after cycle is complete, its normal to have a small amount of water just below or above the filter plate

HL04932940 27" FRONT LOAD WHIRLPOOL HE WASHING MACHINE LEAKING WATER FROM BOTTOM

First check is the standpipe drain. The hose that comes from washer should not be inserted more than 4". More than that can cause a syphoning situation that can cause leaks from beneath. If that seems okay you will have to see where water is coming from by observing the machine in action with back or bottom service panel removed (if it has one.)

Belt, Water Pump Although few dishwashers have a water pump belt, if the dishwasher won't drain there might be a worn or broken water pump belt. After removing the lower kick panel the motor can be seen in the front, the water pump belt is on the bottom of the motor.

Drain Pump If the dishwasher won't drain, the drain pump might be defective. Test the pump motor with an Ohm meter. Drain pumps are not repairable, if it's defective it will need to be replaced.

Drain Impeller The drain impeller is attached to the pump and pushes the water out of the dishwasher, through the drain tube and into the garbage disposer or drain line. If the dishwasher won't drain, the drain impeller might be broken or worn out. Replace both the impeller and seal at the same time.

Drain Solenoid Kit If the dishwasher won't drain, the drain solenoid kit might need to be replaced. The drain solenoid is an actuator that opens a flap to allow the water to drain.
Drain Valve The drain valve can get clogged with debris and should be cleaned out if the dishwasher won't drain. If it seems clear of debris but won't actuate, it will need to be replaced. The drain valve is not repairable Pump and Motor Assembly If the dishwasher won't drain, the pump and motor assembly might be defective. If the motor runs during the drain cycle, check for a blockage in the drain line. If the motor won't run during the drain cycle or if it just hums when it should be running, the pump and motor assembly might need to be replaced.

Clogged or Improperly Installed Garbage Disposer If the dishwasher won't drain and the garbage disposer was installed recently, the installer might have forgotten to knock out the drain plug from this disposer. All garbage disposers are sold with a solid plug in the drain tube for situations where a dishwasher isn't connected. However, if the dishwasher is connected, the plug will need to be removed. If the disposer wasn't replaced recently, remove the dishwasher drain hose from the disposer and clean out both the fitting on the disposer and the end of the drain hose. These are the most common places to find an obstruction if the dishwasher won't drain.

Check Valve If the dishwasher won't drain the check valve might be stuck closed. The check valve is a small plastic device which prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained. If the valve gets stuck closed, it will prevent the water from draining. The check valve is the device that the drain hose is attached to on the dishwasher.

Check Ball If the dishwasher won't drain the check ball might be stuck. The check ball is a small plastic ball in the check valve which prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained. If the ball gets stuck, it will prevent the water from draining also. The check valve is the device that the drain hose is attached to on the dishwasher.

I have a brand new whirlpool DU1055XTV5 dishwasher, installed two days ago. After the cycle completes there is about 1/2" clean standing water left in the bottom. It is not just down in the well area,...

Ensure the outlet pipe is below the level of your floor and straight to a drain or plumbed into the waste pipe directly with no chance of syphoning from standing water in your drain/waste pipe.

My whirlpool dishwasher will not start. It beeps, drains & flashes Err4 on the screen.

If you are using tablets that have rinse aid as well as rinse aid, it causes to many bubbles, these get sucked down the two little outlets (located at the bottom of the dishwasher door, easy to see if you open the door completely) and make the water level in the base seem higher than it actually is which triggers the over flow button. Now to fix it is SUPER hard....NOT! Just pull out your dishwasher, and tip it back slightly. The water stuck in the base will trickle out...not much but will take 5-10 mins. Then turn it on, run on a rinse cycle to be sure its all gone!

Standing water in bottom of dishwasher...didn't drain.

hit the cancel drain cycle. Often times the dishwasher drain hose is not installed properly. It must be routed up as high as the dishwasher as soon as it comes out of the unit. May be also that there was a little regular soap or something that made it sudds up. vegetable oil poured into the dw tub will remove the sudds. Try to wash again after cleaning out the sudds and run it again. Thanks

I have whirlpool duet ghw9100lq does not start only flashing

select pause/cancel twice if it still does not unlock. It is not unlocking because of water still in the system, run the drain spin cycle manually if that does not work you will have to clean out the lint trap and the water left inside will drain on your floor. To clean the lint trap. there is a panel at the bottom front of the washer. along the bottom of the washer there are three torx type screws to remove the panel these will be above the drawer unit if you purcased the stand. remove the panel by lifting from the bottom. then in the center you will see a plastic cap. twist the cap to remove. this is your lint filter. it pulls out and has a cup shaped piece attached to it pay attention to how it comes out im not sure if you can put it in wrong. clean the area out. there may be some water to spill out depending on how much is clogged in your system. replace the cap once you have cleaned it out this should help with your problems.
