Ipod 30gb battery shuts off in 30 minutes

your issue could be one of 2 things.
Either your battery is becoming old and needs to be replaced or your mainboard is malfunctioning and causing the low battery signal.

If you have your music library backed up in iTunes, I would connect the iPod and restore the firmware. You can accomplish this by pressing the restore button in itunes.

If your battery is more than 2 years old, replace it and see if the problem goes away,

It seems i have over charged my sand disk player so right now when i switch it on it says battery too slow and then it shut down it self, please i need a help to this problem .

Hi teddyabout,

There are few reasons your SanDisk Player is acting up. Here are some things to try out.

Make sure the HOLD switch is turned off before you power up your player. This will sometimes cause errors in booting.

If that doesn't work you can try a soft-reset by holding the power button down for 15 seconds then try turning the player on normally again.

Finally, if you are brave enough, you can take the battery out of the player to force a complete reset of the player and battery. This is done by taking the four screws out of the back of the player and removing the battery. After 30 seconds, put the battery back (be sure the it is seated properly) and replace the screws.

Good luck

Creative Zen Vision 30G not Turning On

Alright guys, I think I've figured it out.

I got mine working again, and it's been down with the same problem since the 29th.

So I tried to do the "Hold power for 30 seconds while plugged into your computer" thing. Didn't do anything, but thing is, I didn't unplug it from my computer afterwards, I just went to bed, and when I woke up, my creative was working again.

This, coupled with Oddu's solution have pretty much made me positive that for the problem we are having (only a blinking blue LED when connected to the PC or when you hold the power button) is just caused by an over-dead battery.

Plug your Creative Zen: Vision M into your USB 2.0 port, and just leave it overnight, mine was plugged in about 7 hours, I reccomend leaving it in at least that long, if not longer if it's still not working.

The situation that lead to mine becoming this way, was my Creative froze, and I didn't have a mechanicle pencil with me to hit the small reset button on the bottom so I just let it stay powered on until the battery died. I guess that kind of completly dead battery screws it over.

For prevention in the future, I reccomend not letting your creative get down to 0% battery. Keep it charged.

Keeps shutting down.

The solution is found! There's no need to format your HDD
So.
- Unplug the battery;
- Press and hold the reset button for 20-25 sec;
- Put the battery back to it's place;
- Charge your device (when you plug the cable in, it turns on (note that a blinking lightning icon appears on the charging indicator), then it turns off with it's "shutting down" message, dont pay attention on this, just let it charge for about 10-15 minutes (note that the CHG bulb won't be lit));
- Turn on your device. The CHG bulb is lit, Archos doesn't shut down
- Enjoy

Zen Nomad Xtra - to go to Rescue Mode do the following:
1. Insert a pin into the small hole on the left side of the player
below the volume adjustment switch.
2. Hold down the Play button on the right side of the switch
3. Rescue Mode Menu will appear
4. There are 4 Options available, but best option to fix most
problems is reformat hard drive.
5. Reformat is very fast
6. Turn off and reboot.
7. Problem solved.

if you can get into recovery mode most likely bad hard drive
