Hi,
You can't buy seperate external FM antenna for GT900 model in online. If you need you can contact the official service center of the GT900 product for the antenna. They only can give you parts of GT900 separately..In the service manual you get the service center details

Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

I need to know what type antenna it needs

What you need can be as simple as a "dipole antenna", or as complex as an FM antenna on your roof. A dipole antenna looks rather like the letter T, with the top part of the T about 3' wide, and the base part long enough to reach your set. Make it out of lampcord, extension cord, etc. The connection looks like this:
'-------------------------------------------'
'----------------' '-------------------------'
' '

the vertical bars are connections on the ends of the "T", and the base connects so it all makes a loop. The size isn't really critical.

You can buy one for under $10

I would not buy unless you can secure the original remote, try www.sony.com contact customer support and the technical department, also! check www.ebay.com type make and model of CD player and scroll through the list.
