Horn occassionally sticks

The horn on this car should be right behind the front bumper bar...

Likely the relay is stuck. The horn gets 12v when you press the horn button and it energizes the relay to send power to the horn. The horn gets 12v and sends that through the horn and then to ground. There's nothing in the horn to cause it to stay on. The only other possible cause would be a horn button that is stuck in a depressed position or the wire is damaged and is grounded. Any relay you have that has the same dimensions can be used to test if the relay went bad by swapping it out and seeing if the horn blows.

Horn is up under drivers fender at the front of the car.
Mine was rusted bad and lost good ground contact. I bought an after market horn combo (high/Low) and relocated up in front of the radiator. If you listen to the relay under the hood it should click when you press the horn on the steering wheel, thats how I figured out it must be the horn and not the switching.

Look and see if you have a harness that is unpluged if you don't you most likely have a bed module.

you have a short some were most likley in the stearing column the easyest way to shut the horn off is to pull the fuse and have no horn

The horn may be full of bugs or the ground point is bad unbolt the Horn check the throat sand the base and the horn were bolts go there be sure horn air way is clear and look for the small screw on the side of the horn and back it off a couple of turns then try, if it still does not work replace the horn/

I would think that the problem is more likely to be on the hot side of the horn operation, than on the earthing.....Power is fed to the horn and is grounded, completing the circuit, when you press the button....Check first on the horn relay and follow it from there.....I don't believe the problem will be behind the steering wheel, unless the horn sounds all the time....
