Flicker at bottom of screen

I have a HP Pavillion dv4-1220tx. A thin white line flickers at the very bottom of the screen.
This was absent for the first 20 minutes of powering on, but came back on later. No other part of the screen is affected. Please advise.

My office laptop HP 6530s had this problem. White fickering bar on the bottom that wouldn't go away.
Finally HP service engineer replaced the monitor piece as it was still under warranty. Problem is fixed now

Check in the bios by taping F10
if the screen is flickering in the bios then it is a hardware issue
if it does not flicker in the bios then it is not a hardware issue
try updating the display driver
if it does not work then needs to perform a recovery on the computer

check in the bios
if it flickers on the bios then needs to send the laptop in for a repair....
if it does not flicker in the bios then needs to
1> update the display driver
2> perform a recovery

Hp pavillion dv6000 was using and screen went white with dots all over the screen and shut down and now won't come back on.Blue lights come on and flicker off and on and it clicks a couple of times.
It sounds like it may be a virus or maybe your CPU has overheated. Take it to HP or another repair service.

White horizontal lines flicker and screen goes off.
check the wiring inside the monitor, pull the sceen out and move the wires with the screen on so you can see when it's working. then tape the wires where it works.

LN-T4665F 46 in. LCD- Black Line across screen
The set is under a year old and is under warranty. The LVDS cable inside these sets have a history of coming loose. The problem could be the panel. Either way, the set is the problem and needs to be looked at. This set is worked on in the home and does not need to be taken to a shop, so, you can still use it.
