What is the wpa number for

WPA is a security code to help secure your wireless connection (so other people can not connect without your permission.
Actually WPA is not very secure, I would use WPA2 if you have it.

Cant conect to internet

  • Wii Error Code 51300 - 51399
  • This error is caused by the Wii being unable to connect to the access point.

    To solve this error :

Try changing the channel of your wireless router to either channel 1 or channel 11 which can increase download speeds.

If your router is using WEP encryption
  • Ensure your key is hexadecimal, consisting of 0-9 or A-F only, no other special characters or letters.
  • 64 bit encryption requires your WEP key to be 10 characters consisting of numbers or leters A through F.
  • 128 bit encryption requires your WEP key to be 26 characters consisting of numbers or leters A through F.

If your router is using WPA encryption, the Wii is compatible with :
    WPA - PSK(AES)
    WPA2 - PSK(AES)

If your router is using MAC filtering, ensure the Wii MAC address has been added to the list of approved MAC address on your wireless router settings

One of my computers can not connect to my network using a Belkin Wireless G Router #F5DE7230-4

Is your network Open, WEP or WPA?
Does it see the network and cannot connect?
What is the computer's operating system and patch level?
If your network is WPA and you have not been applying Service Packs and updates to this computer it may only be able to connect to WEP networks. I'm fairly certain WPA support did not come out prior to Service Pack 2 in XP.

Unable to connect to internet, needs wpa network key, help

these are a mixture of numbers and letters which you enter yourself because security is enabled, its not something we can give you its the code within the routers menu, it will be visible in there in the security settings.

if you are trying to connect to somebody elses connection, then without permission it is ilegal and obviously you will not be able to get the numbers for connection

Security: where to find data needed like WPA

the WPA key, is usually found on the side or the bottom of your wireless router, usually on a pink sticker, with WEP or WPA,
then will have a random numbers and letters, its case sensitive.
other option is login to the router through internet explorer with your routers ip address and under security tab you will find the security key..

All the best

I have a F5D9230-4 and a few months ago got a WII. I've tried to get the WII set up to go wireless thru my router to their website. It accepts everything but when it tries a connect test it fails and...

  1. Turn of wireless security in the router, see if you can get the Wii to work UNSECURE.
  2. If the Wii, connects with security turned off, then enable security on the router (WPA is recommended) and a 10 digit key (I use an onld phone number from my childhood)
  3. Go back to internet settings on the Wii, select the wireless configuration you were using, click advanced, and enter the WPA key.
  4. Test connection Wii should work

I will give you something to try, but with out more info, (type and model of router, and operating system) it might not work.
When you set up your network (home network wizard) you should have seen an option for WEP (wired equivalent privacy) or WPA (wi-fi protected access), your internet service provider should have supplied you with an encryption key to enter there. (if not ask them for one) you will have to re-setup your network to install this number key. WPA is the better of the two but most older network products do not support it so you might be stuck with WEP.
Note: you will also have to set the WEP/WPA encryption number on your laptop (any wireless device) to access your network.
Hope this helps, if not let me know with the other info i requested above!
