I am trying to get my tmu220 to print withno luck.
I doenloaded a driver off the net, and on the first installation the
driver worked fine and I printed test pages successfully. Then I went
for lunch and when I came back the nightwamre was on.
from what I can tell it seems like an issue with the port (parallell cable) but I cant figure it out.
Does anyone have links to proven drivers for win xp?
I deally I would like to install a driver and print. having to try nd
configure ports or other nonsense doesnt seem to me like something that
should be involved here, I mean its a pretty standrad printer and
should just plug and play.
I am guessing its the driver I have downloaded.

Go to this site and select your operating system, then press the Search button. Press continue when the next page appears. It should display the available drivers and utilities for you. Scroll down to Utilities section and you should find the Easy Photo Print. Download the file and install it.
hi im josh in cebu phils.friend to solve you problem in printing. you need to check the connections of your printer be sure the cables are mounted prperly on the slot.2nd check the default connections of the printer the port being selected must be the same with the port being used and laslty try to reinstall your printer software driver.thats all good luck hope i helped you.
It will be the advance printer driver v 3.10, Make sure that you do a selftest on the printer by turning it off and holding down the fedd button while turning it on/ It will print the internal setting of the printer that you need to set on the driver installation.
You need to click on printer port setting after clicking on the right printer module and choose you connection bac\sed on the self test and all the settings for it.
possible issue is port configuration. if the generic text driver works, apd driver should work too.
what may be happen is that when you install the apd driver the other printer drivers that you have were still using the same port that your apd driver were using. example, you have generic txt assigned to lpt1 and then the apd were assigned on the same port, this is were you get the trouble.
what you must do is, first, check any printer driver that you have using the lpt, say for example, you generic text is using lpt1, when you install the apd driver set it to lpt2. apd drivers will create a new port normally called esdprt. try to use that port but if that will not work reassigned the port of your apd driver to lpt2 printer port then uncheck bi-directional support. from there you should be able to print..
I had the same problem with an Epson R340 printer and Epson Print CD software after installing Leopard. Here's what I did. Go to System Preferences. Select Print & Fax. Select the "+" box on the lower left part of the screen. Select Epson Printer -- USB and click "Add" and "continue" in the box that comes up (if it does).
Now see if Epson Print CD will print to a CD. If it does, great. You can now actually go back to System Preferences and Print & Fax and delete the printer you just added by clicking on the "-" box and Epson Print CD will still work.
Now I found another problem with printing. The CD printing is now off center to the right and down, so in Epson Print CD program you have to click on print and from the print screen click on "Position Adjustment" in the bottom left corner. I've found the perfect position is 3.5 mm up and 3.5 mm left to make everything print perfectly. Good luck.
