Question about Adtran Tracer 2210/3302 Modem
I just have DSL from ATT , I try to connect with my linksys router , I follow every instructions to make it works but I still can**t get the internet( ** red light all are green lights), I though Linksys router had a problem(which worked fine recently), I purchased a Airlink router but same problem, I returned it and get a Netgear router which the salewoman told me that she had the same problem like that before this is one is the best, I bought it and it did **t work either but in the middle of set up it found my connection internet is PPPoE ,and guide me through the long list ,tell me to enter all kind of thing such as IP address ect.. I think my DSL is dynamic type **t static type, I call ATT they said it should work like "plug an play", I do **t see "plug and play" all I see "plug and pray ",can anyone help me ? I really
appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi, what you have to do is open the router page by typing in the address bar of internet explorer 192.168.0.1 and press enter..
it will ask you for username and password i.e. admin and password....after that you'll be on netgear page there click the one on the left BACKUPSETTINGS below maintenance and after that on the new page click erase tab on the main page..then click yes router will reboot after that click ok and again type in password and press ok....After that you'll be back on netgear page and this time click on first option on the left BASIC SETTINGS and on left change encapsulation to pppoe and under that login will be your username provided to you by your isp and the password as well..eg.(firstname.lastname@example.org)..after that scroll
down to the bottom and click apply ....
And then click adsl settings on the left and change multiplexing to llc based and vpi and vci you have to confirm that from your isp and then apply router will go online....
