Connecting Bose Companion 3 to HP Pavilion Desktop (Elite m9150f)

Can't get Bose system Companion 3 Series 2) to work with HP Desktop (HP Pavilion Elite m9150f). I have tried all of the monitor cables that came with the desktop (VGA, HDMI). The monitor (HP w2207h) has built in speakers. Currently using HDMI and monitor speakers work but not the BOSE. I have the BOSE plugged into the system speaker outlet.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up having to un-install the Realtek HD Audio Software and re-install it and use the VGA-DVI monitor cable. Apparently HDMI and this audio manager don't play well together. But everything is working great for now. Take care.

You have to configure your sound at control panel; you have to switch from computer speakers to external, with or without a woofer. Easy shreazy.

Ouch. I have Realtek. Nothing beats a good soundcard--my laptop just have software. Thanks for the feedback.

Yes you can, for hard drives larger than 2TB you will need a 64 bit operational system like Windows 7, XP recognizes hard drives up to 2TB.

If you don't have multiple drives, the fastest way is to reinstall the OS. It will format the disc as part of the clean installation.

I have an HP Pavilion Elite m9150f desktop PC. I'm getting ''Boot Path error code BIOHD-5 Failed''.

Could be one of two things: either the BIOS has lost the settings for the hard drive, which is uncommon unless the PC is more than 5 years old or been electrically shocked, or the hard drive is going bad. hard drives usually only last about 3-5 years on average. Western Digital even less.
