Open bios folder, and click global for download, for the newest version.
Download also ASUS Update V7.15.04, In utilitys, and please unzip both files.
Install first asus update, select update bios from file, and select the bios version you have downloaded, the rom file, and click next.
Now the bios update process will begin. DO NOT turn off the power, when the process is running, and you have to setup the whole bios, when the job is done. Follow the instuctions on screen, when you have rebooted.
you can use up to a maximum of 224 mb of your computer's RAM for the onboard video chip to use. You can install a video card with any amount of memory (which would give you a lot better video performance).
There are usually three wires on a fan to connect to mother board 1 red "+" positive, 1 black "-" negative and 1 yellow which feed the bios with information about the fan, i.e. how many rpms it is running at. To check the fan you will need to open the pc by taking the side panel off, you should do this when the computer is running or you will not be able to check the fan is working or not, but be carefull not to touch anything inside the case. If the is not spinning check the cable is in the socket properly by turning the computer off first, if it is you will need to replace it, other wise the processor will burn out. If the fan is spinning then the bios is not receiving the infornmation from the fan, therefore you need to shut down the pc and unplug from mains and check the cable(give it a littke wiggle) and make sure it is making a good connection, try blowing any dust of the connectors, power the pc again and if the bios is still giving you the same message you will definatly need a new fan, you can by them from any pc store, take the old one with you to ensure you get the correct size fan.
Overclocking is set from the BIOS configuration. Not all BIOS allows overclocking, it may need a BIOS upgrade.
Check the ASUS WEB site for your model motherboard.
Overclocking the CPU (ie running at a higher clock speed) and increasing Frontside bus speed will give better performance BUT there is a downside too, if you overclock too high you could overheat the CPU and it could fail.
