Locat your fuse box, on the cover there should be a diagram of which one is for the lighter and the value of the fuse(the number of Amp). Goodluck.

Fuse for the ash tray for the crysler 300

Fuse #9 feeds the power outlet and fuse #18 feeds the lighter outlet (this is the one I believe your having trouble with).

They are both located in the fuse box in the trunk, next to the battery. If you open the trunk and lift the floor up you'll see them hiding under there. The numbers should be called out on the cover for the fuse box.

I have a 1991 ford festiva i changed my radio and now my shifter and my dash lits dont work are they wired in with the factery radio

Hi, the factory radio uses the illumination wire, but the aftermarket radio does not. You have to make sure that wire is taped off so it doesn't short the illumination circuit. Check your tail lights fuse. If it's blown, pull the head unit and disconnect/tape off the illumination wire (blue with a white stripe) from the factory harness. Then put in a fresh fuse. If you have more questions, please specify the model of the head unit.

Radio and cigarette lighter won't work 1996 Ford Ranger

factory installed radio is usually fused at the car's fuse box. Check your owners manual (for the car) to see whewre it is, and look for a RADIO fuse, that should be what you are looking for for a factory head unit,

LIGHTER FOR MY SATURN

Probably would have been a good idea to purchase a LED 12vdc tester while at the auto parts store. If the original holder is in the vehicle and the fuse was checked. The next thing you need to do is take the 12vdc tester and touch one lead to the side of the holder and look inside and see a center contact at the bottom of the holder, touch the other lead from the tester to that contact. If your light turns on then you actually have power there. If not the fuse to the lighter is out. You can not visually check a fuse, they must be tested. If you have power try to plug in another lighter. If you have to change or add a new holder the center wire is power and the ring or frame is negative. Depending where the lighter is located I have found coins, gum wrappers etc. in the holder you may also want to make sure nothing is in the holder.

Connecting my cd stereo to 1990 Ford Taurus

since it worked before and you didnt change anything and now there is no power it looks like you blew a fuse when connecting wires. check the radio fuse on the door panel, and check the int. lighting fuse under the hood of the car. take both out and see if they are blown, if blown buy new fuses and replace.

heres the wiring diagram for a 1990 Ford Taurus:

Left Front (+) orange/lt green
Left Front (-) lt blue/white or Blk
Left Rear (+) pink/lt green
Left Rear (-) dk blue/ orange or Blk/Wht
Right Front (+) Wht/Lt green
Right Front (-) Dk green/ orange
Right Rear (+) pink/Lt blue
Right Rear (-) Tan/White
Lt green/yellow Hot at all times
Black - Ground
Yellow/Blk - Ignition
Lt blue/red - Acc
Orange/blk - Dimmer Lights
RED - Lights
