Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
Looking for on line mauual showing disassembly/assemble of acer 3000 notebook computer.Replacing the power pin.
Often the pin is soldered in three places to the motherboard. The repairs aren't that hard to do yourself if you are careful. Check some of the replacement pin suppliers on google and see if one for your computer is available.
If you decide to do the repairs yourself I suggest using a digital camera to document your dis-assembly process. The picture will make it easier when you go to re-assemble the system. When you get it finished, to make sure it doesn't happen again, get a CRD (Cable Retention Device) like this company sells. It takes the strain of the power pin.

That's on the motherboard by the way..and usually is a whole board replacement issue.
