Question about Washing Machines
The agitation is **t going back and forth. It is just going in one direction. if you stop the machine and restart it goes in the opposite direction but ** agitation just spinning. Is there a sole**id involved to get this working right?
It may be the agitator directional cogs, aka agitator dogs. If you remove the top "cover" on the agitator, they're inside of there. They are 4 yellow/clear colored rubber pieces with little teeth. If the teeth are gone or worn, that is most likely your problem. Click here to see a picture, and part details.
