Depends which router it is. Security settings are usually in the router software that comes with it.
You may need to enable wep or better wpa.
Read you instruction book on how to access the routers settings.
It's usually a case of typing an ip address in the address bar of Internet explorer to access them. But if you don't have the manual that comes with it you should find it on the net by typing the make and model number followed by the word manual or user manual in google.
