My gateway computer won't read my 32gb sdhc card

If your current card reader isn't compatible with SDHC cards then you need to get one that is. While SDHC cards fit into the SD slot, they care electronically incompatible and won't work in devices not designed for them.

You can purchase a Targus card reader from Walmart which will plug into a USB connector on your computer. Directions on it's usage are included with the card reader. The package says it is compatible with SDHC SD/MMC, XD, Memory Stick, Pro Duo, and Magic Gate.I ran into a problem with the Targus TGR-CRD25 when trying to read an XD or SD memory card 1GB or bigger. Targus fixed it with a note on their web site:
To operate plug card reader into the USB port, go into "My Computer", click "Removeable disk drive", insert your memory card into the card slot and upload your data. Please remove your memory card before disconnecting the card reader.

The digital card slot on my laptop doesn't seem to

Hi ionevike...
1...Reinstall your drivers, that should solve the problem, sometimes the drivers get corrupted.
2...Purchase a card reader like found at the following webpage(They can be found at other sites also, and in other places.)
It is eaiser to use because you will insert your card into the reader and plug the usb into a vacant usb port on your computer..it will ope a window...choose to "view the files"...when you make that choice, another window will open and show your pictures...highlight them and drag and drop them to your file/folder of your choice.
Please take time to rate me

What type of Memory Card does my Hitachi DZ-BX37A use?

Hi Dannjohnson,

The below are the types of cards that your Hitachi Device works with :-

It's an all in one USB 2.0 Memory card reader , compatible with almost all types of usually used memory cards like :-

  • SD card,
  • CF Card,
  • xD Card,
  • Sony Memory Stick.
Your data would be read just like a floppy drive or another removable media , just plug in this card reader in your PC's USB slot and then you can use all the slots for memory card separately.
It will also have a separate drive letter for each slot for memory card that you see.

Hope this helps ...:) Your feed back would be appreciated.

Why won't my sandisk imagemate 5 in 1 reader recognize my 4GB sandisk SDHC card? Is my computer at fault? The camera is a Canon Powershot SD1200IS ELPH 10.0. Thanks. [email protected] ...

The ImageMate 5-in-1 is compatible with SD, MMC, MS, MSPro, and xD cards. It is NOT compatible with SDHC cards.

While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they will not work in SD devices.

I do not have the disc to install in my pc how can i get pictures from my camera to my pc?

The simplest solution is to buy a card reader for your particular memory card (SD, Xd, etc). The card reader will have a slot for your memory card and a plug for your computer's USB port. This does require removing the memory card from your camera and inserting it into the card reader. Some computers have card readers built into them already, but beware that some older computers will not accept an SD card over 1 or 2 GB memory size. The card reader will solve this problem.

Where can I obtain an adapter to connect my xD-Picture Card (used in my Olympus Camedia C-460 Zoom camera to my Canon Printer which accepts only SD, MMC, MS cards?

There is no such adapter available for converting the XD card into a SD or MMC card. If your printer accepts a USB device then plug the card into a XD card reader and plug it in your printer
