If your current card reader isn't compatible with SDHC cards then you need to get one that is. While SDHC cards fit into the SD slot, they care electronically incompatible and won't work in devices not designed for them.
You can purchase a Targus card reader from Walmart which will plug into a USB connector on your computer. Directions on it's usage are included with the card reader. The package says it is compatible with SDHC SD/MMC, XD, Memory Stick, Pro Duo, and Magic Gate.I ran into a problem with the Targus TGR-CRD25 when trying to read an XD or SD memory card 1GB or bigger. Targus fixed it with a note on their web site: To operate plug card reader into the USB port, go into "My Computer", click "Removeable disk drive", insert your memory card into the card slot and upload your data. Please remove your memory card before disconnecting the card reader.

Hi ionevike...
1...Reinstall your drivers, that should solve the problem, sometimes the drivers get corrupted.
2...Purchase a card reader like found at the following webpage(They can be found at other sites also, and in other places.)
It is eaiser to use because you will insert your card into the reader and plug the usb into a vacant usb port on your computer..it will ope a window...choose to "view the files"...when you make that choice, another window will open and show your pictures...highlight them and drag and drop them to your file/folder of your choice.

Your data would be read just like a floppy drive or another removable media , just plug in this card reader in your PC's USB slot and then you can use all the slots for memory card separately. It will also have a separate drive letter for each slot for memory card that you see.
Hope this helps ...:) Your feed back would be appreciated.

The simplest solution is to buy a card reader for your particular memory card (SD, Xd, etc). The card reader will have a slot for your memory card and a plug for your computer's USB port. This does require removing the memory card from your camera and inserting it into the card reader. Some computers have card readers built into them already, but beware that some older computers will not accept an SD card over 1 or 2 GB memory size. The card reader will solve this problem.
There is no such adapter available for converting the XD card into a SD or MMC card. If your printer accepts a USB device then plug the card into a XD card reader and plug it in your printer
