i charged the battery and put it in my camara and it wont turn on any more

-   the camara was fine, but i left the battery charging..and now the charger blinks..and the battery won't work in the camara, the shutter's left open.. the charger seems to work but then starts blinking.. what do i do? -   NYCJDOG
