Dirt. Spilled oil, grease, milk etc. act as isolators and prevent contact between burner and casing (mass). You need to take of burners, scrub them, clean them. Don't forget to also clean their seats (brass elements on which they are mounted on).

My miele induction schott ceran is being locked, and I can not open it to cook??

Hi,

If you have an illuminated red key symbol on the cooktop, press down where the illuminated red key is, for about 5 seconds. This method works on many Schott Ceran / Miele cooktops including the KM443 listed above.

If this doesn't work, please let me know the correct model number.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

I get spark on all 4 burners but one will not light. It will light with a BBQ lighter. Spark + gas = no flame, was up?

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

you have a defective gas valve, or a clog of grease in the gas piping...try taking a needle and poke the little gas holes to clean in the area of the spark unit

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response, thanks and good luck

Electrolux EOB976: cooker hose or copper pipe?

Hello,
The regulations state that the proximity of the hob to the cooker would dictate the use of a copper pipe to supply the hob.

Hope this helps.

How do you light gas manually when power is out?

Hi,
Turn your burner on to high, then use a lighter with the long spout on it to light the flame by moving the lighted flame to towrds the burner slowly.
Make sure to use the type of lighter that allows you to stay back so you do not get burnt.
If the burner does not light do not let it on for more than half a minute.

i find your problem is short of desame line that why it remained lighting, try to hang the connection to that light, try to find it one by one , the principle of the lighting here is like in the rice cooker when warm the light is yellow when cook it turn to red when you going to see it ,it is one connection only.there is a thermal plate ,when it sense extreme heat it will move that to switch off ,,then when it warm its switch on. maybe there is short to thermal plate or the thermal plate not working even extreme heat it will not shrink...try to find this plate .if my solution help you to understand the problem please rate me FIXYA...
thank you in advance Stevecarr.....

Smeg SE64 Gas cook top

problem with hob is probably water ingress in area of ignition unit - will probably cure itself oven is a completely separate unit from hob. problem with it is that you have to re-set the clock - you have it on automatic. after power outage, oven clock always has to be reset

If I'm not mistaken, these dacor cooktops have an automatic re-ignition (meaning if the flame goes out, it will just relight it without you having to do it) If none of your burners will light, you probably have a bad spark ignition module. These are somewhat hard to change, as you have to take all the burners off and disconnect the spark wires and take the whole top of the cooktop off to get to the inner workings. Also, to get these burner bases off it takes a special tool by dacor, AND you usually have to replace all the burner seals once you take them apart.Your other, simpler option is to unplug the cooktop and plug a lamp or something in to the outlet the cooktop is using, just to make sure you have power. Just cause the breaker doesn't look like it's tripped, doesn't mean it isn't bad and the outlet is dead. Hope this helps!
