Set your download folder(wherever the music is) to a "watched folder" in the options of the Zune software... next time it searches for songs it will list it in your library songs. then you can right click the songs and click "send to *zune name*"

i assume you use itunes? in the itunes list of songs there are some blue checkmarks next to each song. if you click on them, it unchecks the song and it gets taken off the zune the next time you plug it in to your computer. hope this helps

I have a MAC and it will recognise the sandisk m240 mp3 player. When you look under the finder tab it is there. But when I try to download songs from i tunes it won't work. Any ideas?

Hello,

Tranferring songs from iTunes to the m240 needs to be done in mp3 format. iTunes music in aac format should be converted to mp3.

Putting files in the mp3 format:
1. Using iTunes 7:

2. using iTunes 8:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1129

On next site follow the steps how to download mp3 files in iTunes proceeding from step 1:

How do you delete songs from your Apple iPod 4 GB Silver?

You can set your iTunes to "manually manage music and video", then plug in your iPod to iTunes, and delete the songs from your iPod with iTunes.
Or you may try this ipod tool, it can help you delete iPod music easily, Much better than iTunes

Problem with zune player

It may be due to Non-safe removal of Zune device from PC during transfer of files.you may have deleted some music from your PC hard disk, which you tranfered omay be only the fake song/album file or artwork.check whether the file u trying to play is available in your pc.if you have downloaded directly to Zune then try again.

Zunes marketplace

Hey redhead-09,

While the iPod has iTunes as its software counterpart, the Microsoft Zune similarly has a program to manage songs and playlists called the Zune Marketplace. According to information provided by the manufacturer, the Zune Marketplace does provide an option to import your songs and playlists from iTunes when desired.

Please keep in mind however, that not all of your songs/files may be able to be imported into the new software - the Zune does not support several of the file formats the iPod is able to support (such as DivX), and you may not be able to import any copy-protected files that you may have purchased through iTunes or other online music sites.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

You need to use iTune to tranfer the songs to the iPod, The iPod does not recognize mp3,s that are transfered as file through widows explorer. iTune converts the mp3's to a file that the iPod can read. Apple got in trouble in europe for doing this. They wanted to make it so you had to buy the songs solely from them and not be able to use songs transfered to the iPod. So they got sued and had to back off and make it so iTunes will convert the normal mp3's to the version of the mp3
