If you were familiar enough with brakes to make repairs, I would suggest that you probably wouldn't have posted this question. If you really want to learn to replace your own brakes, I would suggest that you buy a Chilton's Manual for your car. They're definitely worth the money. Your car is nothing different or significantly different from most cars, when replacing pads or shoes, but you really should machine the rotors and drums if you replace the linings. If they are beyond specs, they will need to be replaced. By that I mean if your rotors are too thin or if the drums are too worn (inside diameter too large). If you've ***** done brakes before, you need to have a qualified mechanic (preferably ASE certified) at least check what you've done before re-assembly. I was ASE certified for over 20 years, and I've even made my share of mistakes. Thank *** that those always showed up in the test drive. Had anyone had a collision and gotten hurt or died as a result of my mistake, I might ***** have forgiven myself. The most important safety feature on your car is the brakes. Don't compromise your safety or that of anyone else who might ride with you or drive your car. Get qualified help or take it to a qualified repair shop. Dealerships are the best. ** one knows your car better than they do, the repairs will be done right the first time and they will notice anything else that you need to be made aware of. GM and Ford are very serious about training their personnel (I've ***** worked at a Chrysler dealership) and won't let un-trained personnel work on your car.

I have a 2005 buick lasabre custom that did not come with the DIC (driver information center)Can I purchase the dic and install it in my 2005 custom lasabre.

No. This is a part of the IPC and the vehicle configuration in the BCM would have to be changed, which, due to your VIN, will not allow for programming. The IPC is VIN burnt, as is the BCM.

Wherre is the heater oil on a 1992 buick lasabre located. How do you change one

the heater core is in a plastic box more or less above the passenger foot well and behind the dash and glove box. generally the dash has to come out, have a shop do this for you. look for a shop which does heating and air conditioning work so they are familiar with pulling dashboards and any shortcuts.

Just get a new compressor with one on it. Changing the clutch is a waste of time and your money.

1992 Buick Lasabre Right Brake Light

Just a thought, but I figure with an electrical nightmare, you need as many posibilities as you can get. There is a switch behind your brake pedal. when you step on the brake, it contacts a button on the switch, which allows power to get to your brake lights. Maybe one of the wires coming from the switch is catching the steering column mechanisms. I hate electrical stuff. So, I wish you the best of luck. I sincerely hope that I could be of some help.

Replace heater core on 1992 buick roadmaster

It appears I was incorrect about removing the dash assembly, here are the instructions from a Buick owners club.

Under the passenger dash is an access panel that will allow you to remove the heater core, it really isn't that hard, there are lots of little dash screws and panel screws to remove before you get where you need to be but at least it is roomy. The AC evaporator is located by the heater core. I will give you a tip. I changed mine last year and the heater core that I ordered for my 92 Roadmaster was not correct, when I took my old one out and matched it in a book at the local part store, the heater core for my vehicle was listed as a 96 Caprice???? The car has been in my family since it was purchased new and the heater core had never been changed!!!! Explain that one!Oh yeah, one more tip, if your heater core is leaking, this access panel lowers towards you, if there is nasty sweet smelling water in there it will pour all over you, be careful! Caprice parts are the same as a Roadmaster,so if you ever need anything just look up caprices
