Question about Intel Motherboard
Lost all sound on Intel P4 845GLLY motherboard and last time ithappened problem was solved by downloading and reinstalling driver fromIntel. This time NOTHING is making it work ! A run of Registry Smartreports no problems, have deleted in device manager, have uninstalled, downloaded, reinstalled drivers, have run SFC, have replaced speakers, have run DXDIAG but did not hear any test sounds. Audio is enabled inBIOS and all audi settings have been checked and rechecked for bothvolume level and muting. Have no idea what to do/try next and waswondering if possible (and how) to test that the on board device isitself not somehow damaged...but don't know how or why it should be.Any thoughts or other suggestions would be appreciated.
