Question about Canon PowerShot S70 Digital Camera
Is there a "lock" on the slide cover I don't know about?
The lens cover slide is stuck close in such a way it feels locked?
I am not about the lens its self..just the sliding cover.
Had an S50 that the slide cover came off the rails after the warranty ran out, contacted Canon and they upgraded me to the S70 for $150, had to ship the S50 to them for exchange and that was several years ago and haven't had any problems with the S70, however the pictures were better on the S50. My Daughter has the S60 and her pictures are better. I don't like the sliding on off feature.

Take a butter knife and slide it where the crease is. move the close/open button till it open it could just be stuck due to moisture. Hope this helps.
